Dear Parent / Guardian,

I would like to welcome you to the St. Mochta's Academy for 2023-2024. We hope this is the beginning of your child's football education with us for years to come.

We promise to do all that we can to make sure that experience is enjoyable and fulfilling for everyone. To help us achieve this there are some things we need you to help us with and take notice off.

Start Times

The Academy at St. Mochta’s Football Club caters for children aged 4 to 7 years of age. It runs every Saturday on the Club Astro pitch.

9.30am – 10.30am – 2018/19 Boys & Girls
10.45am – 12.00 – 2017 Boys & Girls

Please ensure your child is on the Astro at these times. Remember to make time for checking of registrations at the gate and also the train might catch you at the crossing! If you are late you need to wait until the 1st drill is over to join the session.

Fees

 Fees are required to be paid online via the ClubZap App. Download the app and select St. Mochta’s as your club. Then go to Clubhouse, Membership, Become a new member and you will be given the option then to pay online. You can pay in full or over 3 monthly installments of €50. We will be checking the registrations at the gate so please ensure you signup and pay the fees asap. Fees cut off date is 9th September.

Communications 

Once you have paid the fees you will be added to the academy group on ClubZap. Here we will issue all the relevant communications regarding the academy including cancellations, etc due to weather. We will also share the academy calendar here for the 2023 – 2024 season. Club announcement and general information can be found on the App also.

Gear

Footwear

All Children must wear football boots on the Astro to protect the surface, we do have a boot exchange program in the club where you can avail of perfectly good football boots that other children have grown out of. You can pick these up at the club and take then home to use.

Recycling

At St. Mochtas FC we are committed to your child’s enjoyment and participation within the club. We know all too well how quickly children’s feet grow and that’s why we have set up a boots recycling scheme where you can bring along a pair of football boots to our club shop and exchange them for a pair of equal quality and a size that fits your child.

Or if you have some football boots lying around your house and there is no one you have to fit into them, please drop them down to our club shop and who knows, the next superstar from our club could benefit from your generosity.

Information

 All parents are to remain outside of the perimeter of the Astro. Please do not enter the Astro facility unless requested to do so by a coach.

Please ensure your child has their own refillable water bottle every week.

To ensure the safety of all children when dropping off, or collecting children, please do not block the entrance or exits to the club, all cars must go up to the raised area as you drive in and wait there. There is no waiting permitted at the side of the clubhouse.

If any parent is interested in helping out and coaching we can provide the training and would welcome any support, so please mention this to one of the coaches in the Astro, or Colin Hawkins our Director of Football.
